Welcome to League City ISR
A proud provider of ISR Self-Rescue lessons serving League City, TX and surrounding areas.
Empower your child with water confidence and critical safety skills through ISR Self-Rescue.
Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) is the global leader in survival swimming instruction, teaching life-saving self-rescue skills to children 6 months to 6 years old. With over 55 years of research and development and the industry's highest safety standards, we've delivered more than 19 million lessons, helping children build both safety skills and confidence in the water.
Our mission is clear: "Not One More Child Drowns." While we strongly advocate for pool fences, alarms, and active adult supervision, we recognize that these traditional safety measures aren't enough on their own. ISR's innovative approach puts children at the center of drowning prevention. With over 450,000 graduates and hundreds of documented survival stories, we've proven that children can learn to save themselves.
Our method works because we understand that children are naturally curious and capable. Rather than rely solely on barriers, we equip them with the skills they need if they ever find themselves in water alone. We transform that natural curiosity into life-saving capability, creating confident swimmers and peace of mind for parents.
Meet Your Instructor
Kimberly (Kimi) Hardy
The minute I saw each of my kids succeed in ISR lessons at 9 months old, I knew I had found a new career path. I believe in this program so much that I no longer train astronauts or work in Mission Control - I teach self-rescue lessons instead! I was on the swim team from 9-18 years of age and played water polo from ages 13-35. I love the water! I became a certified ISR instructor in 2015, and I believe every child should know how to handle themselves in the water. If there's any difference I can make to help that happen, I will do what it takes. "Not one more child drowns."
My husband, Rick, and I have been married for 19 years, and we have 2 children. Vaughn is 14 and loves all things soccer and plays for his high school (Springs) and his club (Houston Futsal). Mira is 12 and loves all things dance and competes with Evolution Dance Company. Our dogs are Roxie, Ruby, and Summer, and even though they may bark, they are as sweet as can be. The kids keep us extremely busy, but we love to travel when we get a chance! I also run a small crafting business doing embroidery, vinyl (shirts and decals), sublimation, etc… if you need something made, I can probably make it!
“Supervision has a problem in that every time their child doesn't drown, parents think their drowning prevention strategy is working.
Luck is not a strategy.”
— Dr. Harvey Barnett, Founder of Infant Swimming Resource
